Promoting optimum child development by serving children with developmental needs and their families.

We recognize that each child has diverse needs that must be addressed if they are to reach their full potential. Staff members are committed to continually improving and enhancing our programs to meet the needs of the child.

The Nanaimo Child Development Centre (NCDC) is a community-based non-profit organization that has been an integral part of Central Vancouver island since 1967. NCDC mandate is to provide individualized therapy services for children, from birth to age 19, and their families to promote optimum child development.

We recognize that each child has diverse needs that must be addressed if they are to reach their full potential. Staff members are committed to continually improving and enhancing our programs to meet the needs of the child. Throughout the year, we have well over 300 volunteers who assist at the Centre and at fundraising and awareness events. The NCDC provides support, assessment and therapy treatment to nearly 1,900 children and families annually residing in Nanaimo, Ladysmith, Lantzville, Nanoose, Protection Island and Gabriola Island.
